Anaemia is a global health issue affecting women throughout their reproductive lifespan, but with particularly poor consequences during adolescence and pregnancy. Iron deficiency is the most common cause of anaemia observed in India. The aim of the study was to identify the pregnancy-related risk factors among women due to anaemia and to understand the anaemia dynamics among adolescent girls in rural India.

This project was designed in collaboration with the University of Nottingham, UK.
